Automatic Resend Overview
The Automatic Resend feature automatically attempts to resend any failed faxes in order to guarantee delivery. This saves employees the time and effort of manually resending unsuccessful faxes. It also provides peace of mind that important fax communications will reliably reach their destination.
How Ultatel Automatic Resend Works
When enabled, the Automatic Resend capability monitors all outgoing faxes. If a transmission fails due to a busy signal, incorrect number, or other issue, the system logs the failure and schedules a retry after a default period of 15 minutes. It will continue retrying at 15 minute intervals until the fax sends successfully or a maximum number of attempts is reached.

What happens if a fax continues to fail sending?
After 10 failed attempts, the system will stop trying to resend the fax. At this point, the failed transmission is logged for review by an administrator to determine next steps.

Yes, administrators can configure the retry interval and maximum number of attempts in the administrative portal.
Will I receive notifications if a fax fails to send?
The administrator can enable email notifications to alert designated recipients about any failed fax attempts.
