What is a Software-Based Dialer?

Software-based dialers are applications that automate customer communication by automatically dialing numbers from a predefined list of numbers and then connecting these calls to call center agents. Depending on the purpose you need a software-based dialer, you can choose from different types, including preview dialers, predictive dialers, and power dialers.

How do software-based dialers work?

Software-based dialers automatically dial numbers from a list of provided numbers. Once a customer or lead answers the call, the dialer transfers the call to an available agent. If the customer or lead doesn’t answer the call, the dialer automatically dials the next number on the list and repeats this process continuously.

What is the difference between a dialer and a VoIP phone system?
